91 740 Turbo oil leak

Default 91 740 Turbo oil leak

Hey guys today I realized that my 740 is leaking oil from the oil feed pipe that runs from the block to the turbocharger. its leaking were it connects to the block. how do I remove it from the block? Thanks

The oil feed line is attached to the block by a banjo bolt.(see pic)Remove the bolt,the line will be sandwiched between two copper washers.
The washers should be available at most local auto parts store.(take one with you to match up)Also be sure and check the line for cracks where the pipe is welded to the banjo flange.

The oil feed line your describing is from the older model. This is what I'm working with.

That is the oil return not the oil feed.

First check your crank case ventilation. If the ventilation system is not working perfectly, the pressure can build up and force oil out of the oil return o-ring.

could you explain in detail how I would check the crank case ventilation, what to look for, and anything else you think could help.

i am actually having the same exact issue, so if anyone could help that would be great...do these cars have a flametrap? would that be a good start? Thx
