Default 91 940 turbo 2.3 keeps dieing

I have a 91 940 turbo 2.3 and the other day I was at a drive through window and it died. Was a little hard to restart but I got it going and it felt like it wanted to die again so I kept a little pressure on the gas peddle and drove home, about 25 miles. The next day I was driving into town and it just shut down, pulled over to the side of the road and it started right back up. Went to town with no more problems and back home. Today I went to town again and about 1 mile from the house it started trying to stall again but it did keep running, the rpm's would drop to about 100 then shoot back up. Got to the place I was going and it died as I pulled in. Went inside and did what I had to then back out to the car. It started but every time I would put it in gear and touch the gas peddle it would die. Took me about 20 min. to get it going again but I had to drive through town on my way home and it died another 6 times but started each time easley. When I Got out of town and had no more stop and go traffic then it drove home ok. I am at a loss at what is going on. I can hear my fuel pump everytime I turn the key over so I know its not that, I changed the fuel filter about 6 months ago so I can't see that being the problem. I did pull the codes from it and I get a 212 and a 312, no other codes come up. The check engine light never has come on either. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me on this.

I hope you cleared your codes; nothing worse than old codes confusing the issue. The fact the cel never came on means little. Some codes never set "hard" and trip the light. It really sounds like your crank sensor is crapping out; quite often they begin w/ this sort of intermittent behavior. Eventually, it will be a no-start period. The other common culprit can be the ignition module, or ignitor. It is located on the driver side inner fender area near the battery.

Default sill not working

Thought I had this fixd when I found a bad connector but nope problem is still there.

I cleared all my codes and the only code I get is 214 and I believe that is the RPM sensor. Can this cause the above problems?

Absolutely. The rpm sensor is also called the crank sensor. Without it, the car will not run. It could possibly be just the connector; the sensor has a rather long pig tail. Most likely it is the sensor though.

Default thank you

That explains why when I went to autozone and put in rpm sensor I got no hits LOL. Thanks for the input, I will try that one in the morning.
