92 240 DL runs great until ? it dies and stays that way for a while before restarting
My wife's 92 Silver Volvo 240 DL runs great until something warms or heats up and it will not start back up until apparently it cools!!! - Now the engine itself doesn't over heat at all and I only get the 1 1 1 engine diagnostic code so no help there! I swapped out the fuel pump relay and that didn't help either. A coworker mentioned the crankcase sensor - so I inspected and wiggled its wires and that did not seem to make a difference in that it would not start - I could wait until it starts and the wiggle wires to see if it cuts out but something probably is heating up and then maybe loosing contact or continuity??? Yes I have spark to plugs. How about fuel - is there a quick way to check for fuel pressure on this fuel injection system? Thanks!
And what or how might I check further?
Thanks for your suggestions!

You can jumper the left side of fuses 4 and 6. Both pumps will run constantly, listen to them. I would Clean both those fuses while at it.

Thanks Bubba!
I cleaned both # 4&6 and replaced fuses.
It still will idle for about 15 min and then dies without being able to restart until it cools.
Now I did spray some starter spray into intake to see if it would kick over and it did - so it is fuel related.
I also noticed that the fuel pump relay seemed to be very warm - ? - so then I tired another relay and it would not start.
Can a fuel pump or fuel pumps act up that way???
I guess there are two fuel pumps to these Volvos, what is a good way to test each one and if one is replaced is it a good idea to replace the other - or not necessarily?
Thanks!

I was told that not all of them have 2 pumps. On my 740 GLE, '87, it had a pump in the tank and one under the car, under the drivers seat.
You can kick the car over and the main pump will run for about 4 seconds. Open the door, try to start the car and it will buzz for about 4 seconds if the car does not start. If the car does start, it will continue to run.
