4 cylinder, I could use some direction pls. My car was running just fine when I drove through a flooded area in shopping center parking lot only 3-4" water
all of a sudden car runs but barely no water in distributor, No dealer on Big Island Hawaii so I must fix myself. I spoke to a mechanic that works on various makes. He said maybe the catalist convertor. got wet and the honey comb collapsed blocking the exhaust. interesting thought. It starts fine but feels like the power has been reduced to 10 horsepower total. very weak, idles OK, just no power, another friend said may be the fuel pump. My thought how the Hell could a big splash of water deter the ability of fuel pump from pumping properly?
Any mechanically bright person have some thoughts? You may reach me directly at: credit_repair1060@yahoo.com, I'm Bill
