Anyone know what type of A/C coolant it takes?
The AC in my car has stopped working, Though when i turn the AC on I can hear the pump start so I'm guessing my coolant leaked out over the winter. But i'm not sure what type it takes and am trying to avoid dealing with a mechanic. I'm aware of the old style ozone harming coolant, and at some point they switched over to new stuff. Not sure when that was so if anyone can tip me off as to what type my car would take or where to find out that'd be great!

I have a 91 745T which still uses the R12. There are some shops out there that will recharge your system if you find the R12 cans.
I am not sure when they switched to R134...
Do you know if they converted it? there would be some sticker in the engine bay saying if they did...
wait for the experts to get on.
