Default A few random 94 940 questions

I finally got my 94 940 running again after almost a year since the head gasket and other problems popped up. I bought it and before I could drive it, my son's car died and he took it. It died on him a few months later and it has taken forever to get it done. I have a few questions about it.

1. Where would be a good source for a cheap(er) idle valve? I was told it was almost $340 for one. It needs it but I don't want to spend that much if I don't have to.

2. Same deal with an AC compressor

3. Does this car really not have any cup holders?

That's it for now! I am happy and grateful to have my old 940 finally on the road! It just needs a little more to make it run great after the engine rebuild.

U can clean the valve, or get a used one.
Ebay has the compressor for around a $100
Cupholders only came as accessory in an armrest ove.r the middle console-also often available on ebay

I will go look for some then. Thanks for the info! I drove the car to work today and other than idling rough when stopped it did great. I really love this car.

Is it possible to clean the idle control valve? The car is idling rough and I think mine is clogged up. I saw someone mention that on another post.

I don't know quite where, but you can find some after market cup holders on the internet somewhere. If I need cup holders, I just bring someone else with me to hold the cups while I drive.

That's funny, that's when I bring my kids with me! Otherwise, the center console seems to work for now.

Does anyone know if the idle control valve can be cleaned with carburetor cleaner? I read on another post that it might be possible. Anyone ever try that?
