Default '93 240 seems to oversteer

My kids 1993 240 w/ 100k seems to steer like a go-cart and it is more noticeable at high speed. I would call it darting, a little turn on the steering wheel and BAM, you are in the next lane. It isn’t a big problem if I was driving NASCAR on Sundays, but it is noticeable.
I thought it might be an alignment issue but my guy says the car is within spec and he feels it might be the rack. There are no outward signs of leaks, dents, bends or damage anywhere. . Is there any EASY way to test the rack? Haynes list 15 steps and load of specialty tools… which I don’t have.

That's weird. Usually the complaints are the opposite, likein my 940,the steering istoo sloppy... I don't see how the rack would be doing that either...

I've heard rumors that the rack has a pressure relief spring - it can fail giving you superman stearing. Maybe top it off with a V8.
