I inherited a '93 240 Wagon with a 5 speed manual transmission from my brother because he couldn't figure out some shifting issues and didn't want to hassle with an expensive, time consuming repair. The transmission took some serious coaxing to get into 1st or 2nd when he first got the car then those two gears fell off completely. After a few minutes in the car I realized that the reverse lock **** was engaging prematurely to the right and locking me out of 1st or 2nd. Pulling the **** allows me to get into first or second relatively easily, its gets sketchy at times going from a green light though. Anyone heard of this issue and know of a fix? Thanks in advance.
