93 240 wagon Sell, junk or fix?
So my mechanic told me my 93 240 wagon apparently needs a master cylinder for my brakes, and a full electrical harness. He quoted about $500 + parts. I haven’t found a master, but I was quoted $367ish for a new harness(the old one needs to be shipped to him to make a duplicate)
The car is in pretty good shape otherwise. So what would you do at this point? Am I opening Pandora’s box by getting into the harness project? Are those prices reasonable? Is there a market for these with minimal rust but in current electrical/mechanical condition?
Thank you in advance.

definitely get a second opinion if you can. sounds fishy (the harness part mainly, not the MC)
wagons in good condition are getting VERY hard to find here in new england.

and the bad volvo wiring harnesses were in the 80s, starting about 1982 until mid year 1987. in 87, they fixed the bio degradable insulation, and everythign since that shoudl be fine.
The question I would ask is what is wrong with the existing harness. Show me why it needs to be replaced. As for the master cylinder you can buy them most places for a reasonable cost. Get another opinion
