Default 93' 940 Turbo - Broken glove box fix?

Hi guys,

The plastic (or metal?) Latch where the glove box locking mechanism hooks on to broke off in my car. So now, if I drive on a speed bump fast or just at random times, my glove box door will fall open.

Does anyone have an idea for a quick fix? Or if not, anyone know where I may be able to acquire such a part? I think it's connected to the entire compartment though so replacing the glove box would not be an option for me.

Thanks for your help!

Any DYI junkyard will charge around $20 or less for the whole box. The lid can be replaced via the hinges if the color is an issue. Just avoid '94 and newer as they have airbags and the boxes are different. You want a box from 1991-93 740 or '91-93 940 except '91 940SE.

don't be surprised if that junkyard glovebox has one or more broken corners of the flange that the screws go through, heh.
