Default 93 940 Turbo Wagon - fuse 4 blowing

Fuse 4 for brake lights keep blowing (brake lights dont work) when starting. Tail light bulbs work, got 21/5W bulbs in tail light and brake light bulb holders. The right tail light wires were rewired before so I think thats causing a short, but they were working fine. Fuse 26 pops frequently so may be related issue.

any ideas for a fix or cause thx

check volvotips.com for a wiring diagram, then grab your volt-ohm meter and start testing for shorts. Given you say it blows with the key on, I don't think its at the tail lights. My hunch is its likely to be upstream between the fuse box and pedal sensor.
