93 Volvo 940 turbo questions
My first question is there really any power to gain if I take off my ax compressor the darn thing doesn't work any ways
My second is my Volvo is throwing the TCM code any way to fix this an does this contribute to the slightly hard shifting I feel
Thanks for your help guys

'the TCM code' ? what code is that?
re: your AC compressor, with the AC compressor clutch disengaged, the amount of power to spin the belt and pulley is pretty much zilch, but sure, you could remove that belt if its not also spinning something else. and remove the compressor to save a few pounds.

When my 740 compressor froze up, it basically burned the belt off before I took it off. It only supported the a/c and was a non issue once it came off.
I agree, far easier to remove the belt and leave the compressor if it's belt specific.
