Default 94' 940 mystery switch and light

Hi all. Recently purchased a 1994 940, which has has some strange switch installed, and a light on the dashboard. Switch looks wired up with no noticeable difference in vehicle, and the light has never lit. Any ideas on what they could be?

The unmarked light is between the dimmer slider and fog lamp switch. Ive never noticed it light up,but it is wired.

It's an aftermarket alarm set up, now not connected. The toggle switch was to be flipped on to deactivate the alarm, enable a start. There is probably a siren inside the engine bay. There was a separate fob that went with it, it might have had remote locks function. You can go under the dash and look for the module, get the make and model number and order a new remote if it's still available, depends on the age of the system.

Default 2014 S60 burning too much oil

I loved my car when I first bought it. It's like when I had this nice new boyfriend in the beginning looking great, wining and dining, life is a dream. My car hits 70,000 miles and everything starts going wrong. The honeymoon is over folks. Now I'm panicked that every 1,000 miles I need another 2 qts of oil. This car is only 6 years old! WTH? The warranty is expired so the repair cost is on me.
Too many forums are reporting the same thing about their Volvo S40 and S60. No engine should be burning this much oil at 70,000 miles these days unless the engineering is faulty.
So long Volvo. It's been fun.

Get a Camry, Volvo after 1998, don't get me started! (You are in the wrong forum section, here we deal with real Volvos, the old kind...)

lol that's easy!

The Romulans were the first known race to develop the cloaking device stealth technology, first observed on Romulan mines and the Romulan Bird-of-Prey in 2152
