is '94 940T rear suspension independent?
have to do rear brakes and rotors this weekend. Do I need to order pads for Independent Rear Suspension on my 940? how do i know the difference looking at rear axle. THX, just learning
Sedan or wagon? Wagons, I believe, never had IRS. If they did, it was near the end of the run. Non-IRS cars have a solid axle like every axle you've ever seen. IRS has a totally different set up.
Yes, of the front...
I believe there was one IRS 940, the 91 940 SE, which was more or less an extension of the 760 line. Other than that, all 740/940's are live rear axle.
If you look underneath, there is one hella big thingie that runs from just behind one wheel, to a big sorta egg shaped thing in the middle, and then to the other side. And it's pretty clearly all one piece that's not going to bend or flex in the middle.
