I was looking into a pair of bilstien shocks stated to be compatible with all 700/900 series except those with independent rear. Does 92 740T wagon have an independent rear? Thanks.

 

I forget when they changed them.You can look under the rear of the car and tell easy.Look under the rear of the car if it is a solid axle it is a big metal tube that goes from one side to the other.If you have independant rear suspension then it will look like axles out of a front wheel drive cars.There will be a rubber boot on the inside and outside of the axle on each side of the car.

 

Would a 91 740 turbo Manual Trans, have IRS? I don't have one so I can't just look under the car.

 

I think the 91 740 was still the solid rear axle.I am not 100% sure but it should be the solid axle.
