940 cuts off
Hi,
We just purchased a 940, before we bought it, it would start and drive for about 2 miles, warm up and turn off. It would start right back up and then turn off again after about another mile. When we went to pick it up, it wouldn't start, just tried to start butnot turn over. We thought it might be the fuel pump relay but, it still just won't turn over. Any ideas?
Thanks for all your ideas in advance.

Same problem I had.
I replaced the fuel pump in the tank. The pump runs for a while then stops. I pulled it out and hooked it up to a battery and it ran, keept fooling with it and the problem arrised. You can try it yourself, the pump will run fine then it just stops...... Went to Autozone bought a $40 pump and bam.. the car was running fine. It was the fix I needed. Hope this helps

Allso sounds like an bad or dieing power stage, its on the rt inside finder, this sents power to the coil.It has an heatsink on the back, the high temp grease will dry up and cause it to over heat.It uses the same type grease you use on an cpu heatsink.Had the same problem on my 93 940 turbo
