Default '95 940; bad vibration at right-front at slight left turn over 40 mph

The right-front wheel of my '95 940 will shake/vibrate (I can feel it in the steering wheel also) under 2 conditions only:
1) when driving over rough road and at at least approx 35 mph+.
2) at 40 mph+ and turning slightly to the left. I can get past the vibration by turning the wheel 'more' left or if it is a sharper left there is no vibration.
I tried rotating the tires from the rear which were in decent shape but no change.
I just took it to a shop which specializes in suspension repair and they couldn't find a problem..said everything was "tight". (they've been in business at the same location for over 40 years)
It sounds "clunky" over bumps at any speed but as I mentioned above it doesn't shake until I get up some speed.
So.....any ideas greatly appreciated. Otherwise I suppose I'll just drive it until something breaks.

dunno, sounds like a loose steering tie rod to me, or a bad strut or something.

Yeah, I was thinking bad strut the way it sounds over bumps...nothing sounds loose, just sort of a thud. And I forgot to mention that it doesn't shake every left turn. Last night as I drove home it handled smooth as ever...like it has 21,000 miles on it and not the 210,000 miles that it has.
Strut replacement is something I've yet to tackle but there's gotta be a first time.....
Thanks

The problem was the lower ball joint on the right side. It was totally shot. I replaced both ball joints and both sway bar attachment arms (which both broke when removing them) and it drives like a whole different car.
The ball joints are bolt-on so it's not that difficult of a job. Just make sure you have an air wrench and claw puller.
One of these days I will replace the struts and I bet it will drive like a new one.

Glad you found it.
