Default '95 940, random no-start/stall/no spark. Have replaced CPS,fuel pump & coil......

B230F non turbo: When it will start it will fire right up and run just fine. Sometimes it will run until I shut it off (an hour the other day...test drove it around & got home no problem), other times may stall after just 20 seconds. I can start/shut down several times then the next key-up it will not start. Each time that happens there is no spark at the coil.
I first replaced the fuel pump (have the single...Regina?... high pressure in-tank pump) for 1...I knew it had been abused and 2...I burned it up anyway by forgetting to remove the pump relay jumper that I tried.
That didn't help. I finally diagnosed it down to a no-spark condition at the coil each time it stalled or wouldn't start. This last weekend I replaced the crank position sensor. I thought for sure that was the cause...the wire was frayed and the insulation would crumble between my fingers. No change though. I've replaced replaced the coil, gone over the vacuum lines and can find no loose wiring or connections yet. There are no codes....get 1-1-1 on A2 and A6.
Any suggestions where to look next? Thanks.
