Default '97 740gle fuel pump issue

Hi, I recently replaced both fuel pumps on my 97 740 GLE because my car would not start due to the one under the car went bad. (I figured I'd go ahead and replace the one in the tank too). Now it won't turn over at all. Any assistance anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by turn over? the fuel pump or the engine? You check for loose connections? How about the ground going to the Fuel pump relay?

If it won't crank, then it's probably a bad battery or bad (or broken) connection in the ignition system. If it's an automatic, also check neutral safety switch.

Sorry about that iatotofts... I meant the engine. When I turn the ignition I can hear the fuel pump engaging. So maybe it is a bad ground. Thanks iatotofts and fredbyte. I check your suggestions out and keep you posted.

it won't turn over but when you turn the key you can hear the fuel pump "prime?" I would check connection to the starter from the battery ie: loose or broken grounds.. and also from the ignition switch itself
