Hey, on my '85 740, it has a...bung is i guess the word...in the air box. Now, my car doesn't have anything in it, i'm sure there is supposed to be.(Has lots of wiring problems, some wires just figuring out what they might do.)I need to know what goes in there, and if it does much of anything or not. Thank you lots.

 

Is there a sensor there?

Or does it look like a Hose goes there?

 

Well, when I noticed it, there was a wire going into it, but I don't know what that was for, and I don't think it'd be in there either. It looks like a hose went to it, now that I've looked at it further. I'm not going to worry about it if no one knows, just would like to know. Thanks.

 

a hose does go there, iv seen it on another volvo that year. i dont know what the other end of the hose went to, sorry.

 

Im still not sure where you are talking about.
Is it the hose that goes to the throttle body?
