Air Mass Sensor
I'm thinking of upgrading my '90 740 turbo with a high flow air filter. What would happen if I omitted the air mass sensor? Is it an integral component? Would it throw my air/fuel mixture out of whack if I were to remove it from the system?
Are you wanting to try to remove it all the way?
If you do the car will hardly run.
If you put in a High Flow mass flow sensor you might have to upgrade the computer.

I ask about removing the air mass sensor completly is because I've seen several images online of my same year model with high flow air filters, but I could never find where they put the sensor. I just figured they were removed and some other upgrade was made to accommodate for it. Any suggestions as to where I could find an ECU upgrade? I know they're not cheap.
