I've been curious about these as well. If I remember correctly, there are some reviews on Amazon.com from people using them on their 240s. Might want to check those out.

I found some at Rockauto for $36 for the pair. They're on the way. I'll let you know how they work when I get them on.

That would be great. I wanted to order from Amazon but they won't ship this item to Canada. I usually drive down to Boston once or twice in the summer so I may have some shipped to my hotel when I'm down. Looking forward to hearing what you think.

Well I got them Sat. morning, put them on and have been driving around all weekend testing them. In a word, fantastic! These are great springs. I have a '93 940 Turbo Wagon which I rarely load up with people or cargo. Consequently, it's had one of the stiffest rides I've ever experienced. I guess that's why Volvo invented the Nivomat sytem, to try and blend the two rides, loaded and unloaded. I've experimented with both gas and oil shocks, trying to solve the problem that way and it didn't make much difference. I actually put some sedan springs on a few weeks ago, which are 1/2 mm thinner and that smoothed out the ride but the rear end sagged a little because the rear end of the wagon is heavier than the sedan and it didn't allow me to occasionally load up the car and not have everything bottom out and rub tires. I've been thinking about progressive springs but had some reservations. Until now, the only ones I could find were sport or lowering springs and that would have stiffened the ride just because of their length. Secondly, I've heard a lot of negative feedback from people who installed these springs and complained about the coils clanking and rubbing against each other. The nice thing about the Moogs is they don't rub or clank, probably because they're standard length with more room for the spring to compress. I put a full set of tires and wheels(over 100 lbs) in my cargo area and drove over every railroad crossing I could find and made some high speed lane changes and again no clanking or rubbing. They solved my problem and I'm very happy with them. And the price can't be beat. $44 total for the pair(including shipping) from rockauto. And I think they ship to Canada. That's cheaper than old, rusty, used ones from the local pick n pull. Amazon wanted $64. My rear end did drop 1/2" because of the weight of my car but I got a couple of these discs Aluminum Disk 2 5 8" Diameter 65" Thick | eBay and drilled a 7/16" hole and placed them between the top of the coil and the mounting point on the car as a spacer and that brought the height back to stock. One thing that seemed strange is all the sites that offered them did not show them compatible for a 940, only the 740's. Which is not true because they use identical shocks and springs. I measured them and all dimensions we're the same as mine. I guess Moog's database needs updating. Great product and it's made in Michigan.

Next project: do the same for the front.

Unfortunately shipping companies feel they can just add $50 or more when they have to ship across the border, even though any duties (usually $10-$15) would have to be paid by the importer (me). Rockauto is notorious for this. Anyway, enough of my rant.

That's great to hear! I'm definitely going to pick up a set when I go state side this summer. I'll probably just a get a set of fronts with them as well. My sense is that the ones on my '91 240 wagon are originals.

For the hell of it i thought I'd check the RockAuto price. They want $135 CAD ($98.45 USD) for the pair, shipped. Nuts.

Ok, I'm sure you'll like them. Too bad though, Moog doesn't make any front springs for Volvos, as far as I know. I'm going to try and match up a similar, yet softer spring from another model. Here's some great info from Proparts which gives the stats on all Volvo coil springs. Good luck.
