Smile Anyone have experience with the Frantz Bypass filter ?

Hello,

I have been researching the Frantz Bypass filter for my 1993 Volvo 240. Has anyone ever used this in a Volvo?

Considering:
1) Rock Auto - HAYDEN 291 Filter Mount Kit Oil Filter Relocation Kit
2) Frantz Filter Universal 50K Kit with TBN 32oz

Frantz Filter Universal 50K Kit with TBN 32oz - Frantz Filters Official Website

I would like to relocate the Oil Filter and add this filtration system. What a better test environment than a Volvo 240.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the stock OEM or Mann filters are excellent quality, fairly easy to access and replace, and quite inexpensive. what problem, exactly, is this trying to solve? It looks like something more suitable for big diesel trucks and such.

It almost looks like the old toilet paper type filters. Somehow I think he is looking for a 50K miles in between oil changes.

@pierce - Not fixing a problem, but would like to consider this bypass filter to make the filtering of the oil better. I am watching a video regarding the Mann Filters and like you said the quality is excellent. I think I will be using Mann Filters.
