Just today the auto trans in my 740 w/ b230ft has started shifting from 2nd to 3rd and higher at higher RPM's than before, as if the overdrive isn't engaging.
I have to really back off the pedalto kickdown.
Overdrive relay?
Kickdown adjust needed?

It just started doing that out of the blue? Strange. Usually it's gradual. I have a '92 740 which also takes it's time 2nd to 3rd, shifts around 3,300rpm, and I've tried everything without success.
I'd change the fluid, and look at the throttle cable adjustment, it just might have slipped and gotten misadjusted. It's not the relay, that's 3rd to 4th only.
