how do you replace the shift indicator, is their a easy way to remove the top of the shifter and than replace the plastic, thanks in advance

There should be a couple of screws holding the plastic around the shifter assembly. They should be in the front of the panel. Then you slightly lift up then slide towards the back of the car to slide it off the tab.

Then you get into the rest of the parts.
