Default B230f to B230ft?

If i lower the compression of the B230f can i put a turbo on it? Or do the internals differ greatly from the B230ft and can't internals handle a turbo?

The block and internals will be fine. You will need to swap the Cam over as well as the turbo. And the computer.

i've just realised that the internals don't matter (as i will be replacing them). But is the block its self any different between the 2? (i will also replace the head with a B234 so that doesn't matter)

They are pretty much the same.
I have seen B230's turned into B230 turbo's all the time with no problems at all.
