If you just want to turbo the car then check out this: http://www.ipdusa.com/tm-18
It will take some work and some money, but it is do able. The link should tell you what you need.
It might be easier just swaping in a B230FT from a 90+ car.

Ok this is doable, but it very expensive.

If you want a turbo, buy a turbo car. Much cheaper and easier to mod from then on out.

FYI...
1. Turbo
2. Downpipe
3. Catback
4. Injectors
5. Charge pipes
6. Turbo hoses
7. Vacuum lines
8. Hose clamps or T-bolt clamps
9. Intercooler
10. MOST IMPORTANTLY, a major ECU tune. And I am not talking about IPD, RICA, BSR, etc... I am talking dyno tuning to properly get the right tune.
11. ETC...

You will also have to drill the block to accept the turbo return line so the oil can drain back to the motor.

Another thing to consider is you are turning a high compression motor (~10)into a turbo motor (You will want a compression ratio of atleast 9 to 1.....8 to 1 is ideal).
If yourun to high of boost on the high comp. Itcould lead to problems.unless you have some sort ofwater/methanol injection.
You will want to swap out the rotating assembly (crank, rods, pistons...ect.)with on from a 90+ turbo car, and you will want to look for aturbo modelcylinder head, cuse you might need the cam.
It would be easier just swaping out the whole motor, but you will need to find the following.

1. 90+ B230FT
2. The turbo model wiring harness.
3. The turbo model (LH 2.4) ECU and EZK (ICU). The ECU number should have 0 280 000 xxx (560, 560) and the EZK should have 0 227 400 xxx (149).
Andmost ofthe other stuff s70driver listed except the tuning, becuase the turbo ECU's should be fine.

You can find most of these items at a junkyard or on a forsale section of most volvo forums.

Like s70driver said....it will take time and Money. Better off buying a turbo car and be done with it, but if you are up for the task....please keep us posted on your build up .

Well I live in Iceland, there are 5 or 6 cars that have B230FT.[>:] Non of them are for sale right now. Or ever.

I just need more power for my '87 744 and I'm buying B230F.

Then you might have to +T the B230F.

You will need to find these things:
1. Turbo
2. turbo model Downpipeand exhasut
3. Turbo exhaust manifold
4. tubo injectors
5. Intercooler and IC piping from a turbo model
6. Vacuum lines
8. Hose clamps or T-bolt clamps
9. The Turbo ECU/ICU, unless you get yours tuned, but that would cost way too much.
10. Like tech said you will have to drill the block for the oil lines for the turbo.
there are probalby more things to get.

Check out this link for aftermarket and OEM sites: https://volvoforums.com/m_38606/tm.htm

I know that there are some guys over on turbobricks.com that can ship you the stuff you need.
Most of the stuff will cost a S*** loadto ship. Gocheck out their For sale section (you will have to be a member).

Are there any junkyard in Iceland? You can probably find most of the things there.

Lets just put it this way. Your going to put more money into your car, then the car is actually worth.
