Before I mangle the bearings for the intermediate shaft, does anyone have installation instructions for the bearings? I know they are pressed in, so I am looking for insight on the procedure.

Perhaps enlist the services of a machine shop that will have to tools needed? That's what I've always done for stuff like that.

Sorry of the many redblock b21/23/230 I've "rebuilt" (grind crankshaft, bore cylinders for over sized pistons, new wrist pin bushings, then all the stuff for the head) - I have never replaced those intermediate shaft bushings - they were never worn out! (only load on them is the distributor and the oil pump)

 

Thanks for that, unfortunately when the machine shop bored the block, the dip tank ate the bearings... and they are backlogged months for any new work.
