Question Bilstein B4 Rear Shock Noise?

Recently bought Bilstein B4 shocks and struts for my 93 Volvo 240 sedan. I've been reading that the rear shocks are known to make some noise because the inner bore diameter of the anchors is a little too large. Seems like I should have done a little more research prior to purchasing. So my questions are as follows:
Can anyone verify this?
Is there any way to correct it?
I would prefer not to return these but if the noise is that bad I suppose I ought to.
Thanks

Are you sure its the shocks making the noises or somebody not doing a proper install. Things like over tighening bushings etc can pass along noise and vibrations. Curious of your source for this concern - probably a BMW forum LOL

A review for the product on IPD's website mentioned it and another "confirmed" that's just the way it is: https://www.ipdusa.com/products/4955...1206641-106058
Bilstein's actual website seems to agree with you: https://workshop.bilstein.com/en/ban...he-suspension/
I can't find anything to corroborate the claim though. I'd be more inclined to trust the manufacturer than some random reviewer but I just want to be thorough

personally, I'd chose the Boge/Sachs shocks over the Bilstein B4s. The 4s are a more standard design vs the B6s (ake Bilstein Heavy Duty) so for similar money you get the OEM brand, which is a good match to the stock springs. I've done boht B6s and Boge OEMs so I don't have a brand bias.

I intend on buying IPD's 240 lowering springs here in the next couple of weeks and I don't think those Boge/Sachs are compatible with anything but stock springs. Feel free to correct me on that maybe I was looking at the wrong ones. I was on the phone with a guy from IPD and he said the B4s should work with them just fine.

Yes IPD says their springs are "designed" (chosen?) to work with stock components which would include Boges or the B4s. Note if you are looking for better handling vs a better stance, do the IPD sway bars and HD end links first. I had the IPD bars on my 850T wagon and it made a huge difference (to the point I wondered why Volvo didn't spec stiffer bars as a factory option). Post up how you make out :-)
