On body work
Hey everybody, new to the forums here...
Question here for anyone with knowledge on body work
So I have an '85 240 and would like to remove the trim molding from all around the outside and fill in the holes where the trim clips on. Now I realize bondo is probably a bad idea.. so was wondering if anyone out there has ever done this somehow or has experience in body soldering and could give me some info on how to do this myself. Thanks in advance

Bondo will fall out. You cant really solder it either. Your only option for a good job to be done and look right at removing belt trim, is to have the holes welded. Then grind them flat, then body filler for the low spots, sand it, again and again. Yada yada its a lot of work. If you don't want to do that there is a type of body striping tape that is just as wide as the flat top of the body line.
