Default Brake lights. Bulbs good, but don't work.

I just bought a new 240 and I'm working through the bugs. The brake lights don't work (signals, back-up, and running lights all do). I put in new bulbs, and the contacts are nice and clean. Any ideas on what could be the issue? The are no "bulbs failed" warnings on the dash.

check the brake light switch at the back of the break peddle, it might be sticking. if you don't already have one buy a Chilton manual there a big help.
