Default Cabin Intake Vent Screen Unattached

Yesterday after a hormonic racket at the base of the windshield, of my 91 940, started, I found that the grille/screen under the grate or opening of the Cabin Intake Vent had become unattached and was vibrating. With now way into the area from under the tood and hopefully the same from the interior, how do you get to the underside of the cabin intake vent to reattach the grille/screen? The noise is so loud tht you can't drive the car at the "Posted Highway Speed Limit".

The only way to reach this involves a lot of heater dismantling.

Suggest you push the grille down as far as you can with a thin piece of wood between the slats in the vent, then wedge it in place by putting thin strips of plastic or aluminium between the slats and the grille. Done properly you will not be able to see the strips.

It was the grille at the base of the windshield. The screen dropped down. Was advised to remove the wiper blades and three 10mm bolts and the panel could be removed....shaz-zam I did just that and out eased the panel. I used some thick black auto body glue and 50 seconds later it was rock hard. Repeated the steps and the repair completed.

I have seen your name for a long time, you must be really busy. Thanks for check in on this problem.

Do you mean I have been on here a long time or you didn't see me for a while?

I haven't seen you for a while, although I've got to admint that I look at the other forum more on an average. Don't understand how to fully use this one....like place pictures and the such. I'm getting kind of burnt out too, people ask for advice, but when it's said and done.....if there is several ideas which one worked or there is no feed back. The flow of information is all one sided.....

The missed a couple of more days with Daughter B-bay and Halloween.
