Default Vent Box - Intake Manifold

I need to service the crankcase ventilation system as well as replace the vent box (for good measure). Supposedly the work can be performed without taking off the intake manifold but it appears it would be significantly easier to do the work with the manifold off.

Can the intake manifold, injectors, etc, be taken off in one complete assembly or do all the injectors, etc., have to come off?

Or is it not as hard as I am making it out to do the work with the intake manifold in place?
