Can’t Find a Rebuilt 240 Rack and Pinion
I can’t get a replacement rack and pinion for my 1991 Volvo 240 sedan. The one I have has two bolts and no cam.
models that would fit include:
volvo 5003666
Cardone 26-1994
if I can’t buy a replacement anywhere, could I at least send mine out to a shop for repair/rebuild ? Who would do it?

240 Rack and Pinion Rebuild
I have the same problem. Call Maval Industries in Ohio. 866-943-2748. They are rebuilders for Parts Geek. They have no cores to rebuild right now. They said they will rebuild my rack for 500 bucks. We have to ship to them. The other alternative is to have a local tech rebuild using a kit. This is what I am doing. Hope this helps.

My old mechanic in New York recommended this guy. He has worked with him a long time. I mailed my rack and pinion to him by UPS with return postage. He rebuilt it and is sending it back to me. Cost $350 (plus the postage).
