I bought some rims on ebay and did not realize the nut pattern on the rims was different than mine...it fits the nults but my axle has an extra pin subject...nevertheless went to the tire place to get newtires and realized that it did not fit...one of the tire guys suggested that I saw the pins down for the rims to fit....would it cause any damage in the long run if I do that? what is that pin user for anyways?

 

If it was anything like on my 1995 850 NA that pin just unscrews. Try this first before cutting, breaking, etc...

Yeah. I mean it might take longer, but I am sure it will come off if it does unscrew.
