Default Changing Transmission

Ok this might sound like a ridiculous question, but how hard would it be to change the transmission from an automatic to a manual?

Also needs blower for heat, shocks, and struts. How much would those cost as well?

I have never done it, but There is a bunch of people who have. I think there is some write ups on turbobricks.com

My friend did the swap, and he said the only bad part was getting out the stupid Automatic (they are big)

The blower's a tough job, I'm just living without one myself. You still get pretty good ventilation without it, I've gone two winters just relying on natural ventilation to circulate heat.

It seems you're asking two questions; one is about a level of difficulty; the other about cost.

Changing a trans configuration is no small task, even for a qualified tech. But if your a skilled DIYer, have all the tools, friends to help, and the time, you could probably do it. Now if you're going to pay someone to do it (and they're competant) it would likely cost more than the car is worth.

Same with heater blower; are you doing the work yourself? The first (and only) time i replaced one was on my son's 240, it killed the better part of a weekend. But the cost (other than my time) was about $100 for the blower motor.

So i guess your answer is it depends...
