Default cheap locker or lsd options

Hello, im looking to make my diff lockable. I would use it for drifting on snow but i really want a locker diff and also sometimes daily the car in winter so i need both open and locked. I know the best option would be truetrac lsd but i live in europe so its not that common in used parts market, what else can you guys suggest? maybe its possible to modify original open diff that you could lock it manualy?

the diff on 240/740/940 is a version of the Dana 30. The 'locking' version that was offered on some 740/940's was an automatic locking version, where if at speeds under about 30 MPH, one wheel spins too much, it locks the diff with a centrifigual clutch. I have no idea how modifiable these are.

you can't swap the complete diff between a 240 or a 7/9 as the mounts are different, specifically, the thrust arms are completely different. also ABS cars have a different speedometer tone ring, so if you use a ABS diff in a non-ABS car, your speed will be way off, and if you use a non-ABS diff in a ABS car, the ABS will fault and not work.
