Check engine light 1991 240 wagon
Hello all
Well I finally got my wagon home fuel pumps in with a new relay found out she has a rotten rear muffler and a check engine light. I have done some searching and so far have not found a easy description on how to check the codes.
From what I understand there is a diagnostic port and a LED block? where are these located and what is the procedure to check and clear the codes.
My wagon was sitting for a while in the driveway of the previous owners with a dead battery so it took a while to get her charged up but the check engine light stayed on the whole way home (30 mile trip) I did do the fuel pump swap in their driveway and they told me that the light comes and goes. She runs great all fluids look brand new but I need to address this pretty quick she has not been registered since Sept of last year and In California I need to get a smog check first and I dont think she will pass the the light on.
Any help is greatly appreciated
