Default Clunk clunk!

Hey there folks,
coming to you from PT, WA.
Ya see, I have this 85 Volvo 240 wagon that has started producing clunking sounds while shifting in low speeds. I’m no wiz, but my friend and I were thinking it might be the center support bearing, being worn out. I’m wondering if anyone has had such an affliction, other than me? Is this common after 370,000mls?

.
A friend of mine owned an 83 240D Turbo which was purchased new and I use to have a 89 240 Wagon in 1997 for about 6 months. I thought it might have been the U Joint at the rear axle or lack of lubrication in the rear diff?
.
You can spray some heavy grease like Lithium into the center bearing to see if the noise changes.

clunking while shifting is as likely to be the transmission mount as anything. bad center bearings (and the bushing the bearing runs in) make rumbly noises when cruising.
