Coolant Leak on my 740 GLE 1989
Sup guys this will be my second Topic here hope you guys can help me out on this one too.
So today i was swapping my alternator for a chevy lumina one and i discovered a big coolant leak from the right side of the engine right behind the alternator if you stand in front of the car. whats the best way to stop this leak? put all the gaskets or what?

is this leak on the exhaust manifold side, between the head and the engine block (eg, below the exhaust headers) ?
if so, its likely the head gasket. that can get into the $$$ if you have a mechanic do it, and is fairly involved.
if its on the intake side (left side of the car, which is the right side if you're facing the engine), and towards the front of the engine, then its more likely just the thermostat housing or radiator hose. should be pretty easy to fix.
