couple questions about '88 240 DL parts
Alright, so I picked it up and it made the drive back here (over an hour or so) without incident.
To start things off, there are two common parts I need but I want to make sure I get the right ones for an '88.
First off is a fuel pump relay. I immediately see a bunch come up for 89-93... I'm guessing I need one specifically for my year. Any suggestions? Obviously I'm looking for the cheapest possible.
and... I feel rather silly asking this question, but right now the 240 is rolling on 3/4 hubs, haha. Again, when I look up hubcaps I see countless 89-93 style ones, but nothing for an 88. Besides looking slightly different, is there any issue with it fitting? Obviously I want one that matches, though. Maybe I'll just wait until a correct one pops up.
Thanks for your assisstance!

Any fuel pump relay from LH2.2 or LH2.4 will work. That means any 740 from 85 on, any 240 from 85 on...uses the same fuel pump relay #3523608. The reason you're seeing them from 89 on is 89 was the 1st year for LH2.4, so many parts break at that year.
As for hubcaps, they may vary stylistically but`the only factor is wheel size. Your car came w/ 14's from the factory.

thanks so much, I found the relay for $15 or so online, so no biggie.
I'll probably just wait until a like-hubcap shows up online, or even better, just call some local joints and see if they think they have one.
