Default crank position sensor

I've bought one of these when throwing money at a problem, Now I want to put it in, but can't for the life of me see where it goes. Any ideas, and my manual doesn't point me anywhere regarding this piece. Its a chilton. too mixed up with the other volvo models if you ask me.

look down from the firewall straight beneath thecylinder head. there's a mounting bracket at the block, just atop the transmission at the bellhousing...deja-vu.

It is a major pain to replace the sensor.

Ok I found it. Actually, I finally replaced it after all this time. The sensor is directly below the distributor cap on the transmission housing. It is not that hard to replace. I have rather large hands and found it not that difficult.I could actually touch the sensor firmly. The plug end is up on the firewall ziptied to all the washer hose. It was a matter of leaning over the engine and bracing myself against some components, but a lot easier then some other componets I've replaced.

Hopes this helps for others to find the sensor.
