Dash Backlights...

Default Dash Backlights...

alot of my dashboard backlights are not working. heating console backlights arent working as well as the gear stick. when i drive at night the only backlights you see are for the speedo's. driving a 91 740 Turbo. thanks.

one more thing? i assume the 740 doesn't have tilt steering? lol

Check the bulbs. No tilt on 740, ever...

You have to take outthe part in question, instrument pod, climate control unit, shifter, etc.. They are not hard but still, it does take some mechanical knowledge and ability. Get yourself a manual, like Haynes, and dig in. It's the way to learn...

Teds right, at least get the Haynes manual.

in the meantime read the FAQ to learn some things the manual doesn't cover.
This is for the trim panel's's's removal

Take the old bulbs with you, the're cheap at any auto parts place.
