hi, i drive a 91 740 sw. b230 i think? non turbo with an automatic trans. my #5 fuse(glove compartment light. clock, radio,interior light,trunk light,door open warning, and power atenna) blew out. and when i replaced it blew out agian. im wondering if its got a short somewhere? the door dinging wont stop even when the door is closed. i guess its from the blown fuse? it runs and drives ok but needs new tie rod ends and leaks oil from the front crankshaft seal. the car has 203,000 miles on it and its all i got right now. so if you guys could give me some insight on what and how to fix my problem, it would be much appreciated, thanks.

 

Disconnect the interior light and see if it keeps blowing the fuse.
If it doesn't blow it then the light assembly is bad.
