Default Door chime

Ok guys, I am slowly learning about my '95 850 turbo wagon, ok, my wife wagon.
Yesterday I lubed all the door latche's and hinges, came inside and we didnt drive the car at all yesterday.
Today after work we had to drive to the dealer to get a second key made and the door chime chimed the whole way there and back. The guy at the dealer said that its the lube in the latches messing up the sensor, I used Liquid Wrench. So whats the deal? When will the chiming stop? The interior lights arent working now either.

I will bet the interior lights fuse is blown. That will make the car chime like it is.

Yours will not stop and mine just stopped working.

I pulled the fuse and, go figure, it began to work???? Put the fuse back in and the chime stopped. What is going on here? It is supposed to work the other way around. Weird [sm=smiley36.gif]. But not a big deal as I always go for the key before I get out of The Anvil.

I had an old (1992) Frod truck that did the same thing. Turned out the fuse would not sit snug in the fuse box. I ended up "shimming" it with a thin piece of tinfoil. Not the greatest fix, but it stopped that damn constant chiming!

It was the fuse, #15 10 amp.
My wife and are are loving this car, we just put a weeks worth of groceries in the back and had room left over.
I am not as fanatical about this car as I am my Land Rover, but I do love it. It needs some TLC which I am giving it.
The check engine light came on today, went to AutoZone and had the code read, they said that it was a O2 sensor, #1, bank #1, slow response. So I guess I need a new O2('s)?
And Quick Brick, I will check out that link alittle later, we are packing for our trip this weekend, we leave tommorrow morning.
