I have a 91 740 non turbo. the problme that i have is ya know how the doors only lock from the outside, well now when i go to lock the car it will only lock the drivers door. its not like it used to be when i'd lock the drivers door and all the other doors would lock/ unlock and the same with the trunk. so now i have no way of getting into my trunk and this stinks. does anybody know how to fix this?

Is the fuse for the door locks blown?
The key should also unlock the trunk as well.

 

is there another fuse block that I am missing, the only one i know of is behind the shifter. and for some reason my key does not unlock the trunk.

but I dont think I need to be looking for a fuse because it seems when I would lock/unlock the car the rest would do the same, seemed to be mechanical. my car can only be locked and unlocked from the outside, there are no window switches for locking and unlocking.

I had the same problem with my '90 740, turns out some of the wires were broken between the door and the body. You might wanna follow them and see if they're intact.

 

First of all is the fuse for the locks, but then there is a switch in the door lock assembly that may be bad. And then the wiring.
