Problems with: fuse box, antenna, and door lock
I just recently bought a 1998 volvo s70 and my windows (sunroof, power door locks, and more) do not work. The guy I bought it form said it is a main switch/fuse that needed to be replaced. Is that the correct name, and where can I get one other than the dealer? Or am I just an idiot who got taken for?
Also, the passenger side door will not lock. It opens and closes fine, but the manual locking post does nothing. I took the door panel off and kind of got the lock mechanism out. There is a little black tab that sticks out the bottom that seems like it should connect to something else, but doesnt. When this tab is down, the door is unlocked. Up = locked. Does this black piece somehow connect to the white piece (the one directly connected to manual post)?
Is there another website that might show detailed pictures of this kind of stuff, or am I already at the right place?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Most likely the problem is the electrical portion of the ignition switch. When the fault occurs, gently wiggle the key in the ignition and everything should come on. Fairly inexpensive and easy repair.
As far as the door lock assembly, these things fail all the time. I've probably replaced well over a hundred of them! And some with the same complaint you have. The only linkage is for the lock rod and a cable for the inner handle. Everything else is directly attatched to the latch and outer handle, so it's unlikely something could be disconnected.

Thanks for the help, but the key trick didnt work.
I checked the fuse box again. Actually took the cover off to check out all of the fuses. #37 is having an issue, it is not there. Its for the windows and the sunroof. The plastic around the hole has been burnt(?). #37 and #40 (cant remember exactly which one) are the same fuse. So I switched them to see if it was just the fuse. Nope, didnt work. But when taking the fuse back out, it got really hot. Burnt my buddies fingers because it was so hot. So I guess something in the fuse box itself is messed up. Has anyone heard of this happening before, or have any idea of whats going on? None of the windows work (from the main panel or individual rears etc.), or the sunroof (in order for the sunroof to work, does the sun shade part need to be open?). Also, it may not be related, but the power side mirrors and the power door locks dont work either. Does anyone know if it is on the same fuse? Do I need to replace the entire box?
Other unrelated problems include:
2) The antenna will not go down. I can hear the motor going but nothing is happening. Maybe the antenna itself is bent where it is not easy enough to pull down or push out all the way. Is there a gear or something that could be off track? If the motor was bad, would it stil be making a noise?
3) I know this is a vague explination, but something in the front right keeps making noise when I hit bumps. Is there a common problem? Anything in particular I should check?
4) That passenger side door lock. At first, it would not lock. After taking it out and messing with it, it will only open from the inside. If it was in the lock position, and then opened from the inside, wouldnt this unlock it for the outside from then on?
Any ideas of things to check? I went to the junkyard today. There were no s70s. All I saw were 740s and one new wagon. Im guessing they are not too common in the yards? Are there any good places online to check for parts (ebay, etc.)?
Before running it hard, what kinds of things should I check/change/flush? Anythng in particular to keep an eye out for?
Again, I just recently bought the car, so I have no idea what has happened to it before. Its a 98 s70 gli with 130K on it. It may seem like it has a lot of problems, but it just has so many features. Any help is appreciated, I dont want to take it to a mechanic. Thanks.
