Exclamation Electrical issues after replacing blower motor

Hello this is my first post so please be patient with me here. I have a 1990 volvo 240 DL wagon and just replaced the blower motor on it and it runs as it should. However my brake lights stay on even with the key out of the ignition and the tail lights or flashers dont work. I ran into this issue I believe when I was putting the instrument cluster back in but have back tracked it and cannot seem to figure out the issue, I've seen some videos online about it potentially being the break light switch but I feel like since it happened during the blower motor repair it's not an isolated incident. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
