Engine Mount Diagnosis
First post here,
wondering if you could, help me diagnose an issue with the motor mounts.
I suspect their gone because of some excessive shaking when starting and revving when out of gear.
I am able to actually shake the engine without much force when pushing on the intake.
It also appears that the driver side mount doesn't line up quite right, but i don't know a thing about motor mounts.
Thanks in advance.

The engine mount on the passenger side has problems because of its location directly under the oil filter. Check it and see how it looks. But, the way you describe your engine movements, it sounds like it wouldn't hurt to replace the mounts. And they are pretty cheap too at fcpgroton.

The liquid filled mounts are VERY soft, it is easy to push the engine from side to side.
Easiest way to see if they have failed is to look at them, when they fail, the rubber doughnut deflates. You won't be able to shake the engine around either, they will be resting hard on the brackets.
The redblock does shake around quite a bit when starting and sometimes idling, it's why Volvo put nice soft liquid filled mounts in the cars.
