Default Exterior Trim reattachment

In the process of doing other things to my 1987 240 I popped off the lower trim segments that go above the front bumper, and now I can't get them back on. Most of the clips on the car itself are rusted, and the back of the trim itself isn't in very good condition. Are these clips a replaceable part, and does anyone know if there is some trick to re-clipping this trim?

Since this is also a 1987 240 I also have the windshield that has the metal frame trim. I purposely removed this because it was starting to come detached on its own. For the frame, how does that reattach? It seems to me like it is adhered on to the windshield with automotive tape, which I have plenty of. If not I haven't found out how else to do it.

What about the windshield frame? Does it go on with automotive tape like I am thinking it may?

those hockey-stick L shaped corner bumper trim pieces are a pain in the $#@$@# to get on nearly once they get a bit mangled. yes, you can buy ALL the clips from a volvo dealer, or a web vendor like ipdusa or fcpeuro.

for the belt trim that goes all the way around the car, IPD sells a generic rubber molding that works pretty good, it comes with enough to go all the way around, you have to cut it to lengths, bevel the ends with a sharp knife (best done on a warm day), then attach with the supplied double-sided tape (remove all the old trim clips, clean the mounting surface with a bit of alcohol before sticking, again best done on a warm to hot day).

for the windshield trim, the best solution is to replace your windshield with the 1991-1993 version which has an integrated black trim strip. this windscreen costs a bit more, but will fix it nicely.

Thanks I plan to replace those clips now, but indeed the trim itself doesn't look too good. As far as the windshield goes, a replacement of the glass altogether with the newer style would be good, but maybe I am being a bit cheap at the moment. In lieu of reattaching the frame maybe I'll just carefully paint the plastic clips so the issue is less obvious...
